Stonecraft Restoration’s founder and Managing  Director, Sean McKenna has over 35 years’ experience of complex stonemasonry projects

Starting out as an apprentice, he was trained in traditional methods of stone conservation and restoration. 

During his career, Sean has developed new techniques to complement traditional methods, ensuring each project is delivered to the client’s requirements, within budget and on time. Sean is a hands-on manager, working with his team ensuring his high-quality standards are achieved. An experienced communicator, Sean is comfortable liaising with multi-disciplinary teams, local authorities and government organisations such as National Monuments Ireland, English Heritage and Historic Scotland. Over the last 35 years, Sean has worked on many historic and high-profile buildings of architectural importance. His portfolio of successfully completed projects includes Rock of Cashel, Adare Manor and Adare Golf Club in Ireland and St Georges Hall Liverpool, Piece Hall Halifax, Pontefract Castle, Chester Medieval Castle in the UK.
